[Review] Why should you buy the latest Moto E, based on a Moto series user
I would like to inform our readers that I personally own a Moto series, the Moto G (previous model of the Moto E) therefore, this will be based on my honest review on the new upcoming Moto E. But before I get started on the E, here is why I think the Moto series are great and affordable smartphone to purchase based on Moto G.
The Moto G itself have everything a smartphone essential needs for a user. A long battery life that could last a whole day, the processor runs fast and does not lag. The only problem with the smartphone is the camera with 5 Megapixel only, it does not run well at night at all. Which of course does not take Instagram worthy pictures. And you do not have an external SD card slot to increase your memory (Moto E does) , this smartphone comes with a built-in storage of 8gb or 16gb. Not to mention I bought this smartphone for a very cheap price because I dropped my Samsung S3 in the water and I was desperate to get a smartphone fast, I got it from Lazada for only RM600 with this Lazada voucher code. So yea a cheap smartphone that been known as the “lowest at the highest end” which is pretty decent and runs well. Not to mention it comes with different color covers that you can change which is pretty cool too (Moto E does). Now let’s get into Moto E, the even affordable smartphone ever.
This Wednesday on the 13th of August 2014, Moto E will be exclusively available at Lazada.com.my. Below will be my personal review as a moto series user.
Just got the Moto E from Lazada for an exclusive review for this smartphone. This is what you will received if you purchase it from Lazada.com.my, a small white box just enough to fit the Moto E.
In the box, it contain accessories such as the earphone and a phone charger
The smartphone on the left is the Moto G (which is my phone) and the right is the Moto E. As you can see, the Moto E is actually slightly smaller than the G. The drawback that you can see here is that the Moto E does not have a front camera.
The back of the smartphone consist a camera that feature a 5 MP with geo-tagging, panorama, HDR with 30fps video. It does not come with flash but it comes with auto-focus. The cool thing about this smartphone is that you can change shells to different colors. Mine is blue and it looks pretty cool.
Now let’s talk about the specification.
The Moto E comes with a dual SIM capability and also a card slot for microSD to increase your phone’s memory. The internal memory is only 4GB and 1 GB RAM runs on a Dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 200. The OS comes with it is the Android OS, v4.4.2 (Kitkat) and it is upgrable to V4.4.4 (Kitkat). My advice would be buying a microSD for it to run your smartphone more smoothly and also extra storage for your pictures and videos. The best part of these Moto series is the long last battery life that could last for the whole day with data connection. This smartphone consist of 1980 mAh battery which is pretty decent for a smartphone. And it also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, less worries for the screen to get scratched.
Overall, Moto E was built as a gateway to smartphone, with the price you pay it comes with exceptional features of a decent smartphone (It is estimated to cost RM369). The best of this smartphone it is built to sustain the whole day with long battery hours. It is an experience that meant to be able to last and it is the most accessible package ever. It is best to be used for communication such as making calls, SMS , Whatsapp so is using any social media. The great thing about Motorola smartphones is that it comes with two great application, the Motorola Migrate which make it super convenient to migrate your data from your previous smartphone to your new Moto series through the use of wifi and Motorola Alert that alert people when you need them by notify your location to the person. The main disadvantage of this smartphone is that it does not have a front camera, does not have light, low ram and an average camera. Other than that, it runs perfectly fine as a normal smartphone. I would only suggest this smartphone to people who wants to use it as a spare smartphone or would like an entry to the smartphone world, this is your best bet.
