5 Beer-ific Places To Enjoy Oktoberfest 2016 in Klang Valley

Another year, another month and yes... Oktoberfest 2016 is here again! Originated from Munich, Germany, the world’s biggest beer festival is held annually from mid-September to early October around the world including Southeast Asian countries like Malaysia. Without further ado, we have narrowed down a selected number of places around Klang Valley area where you can satisfy your beer cravings all month long for this year’s Oktoberfest.

1. Morganfield’s @ All Outlets

When comes to juicy and succulent pork ribs, you can’t go wrong with Morganfield’s. After all, their signature “Sticky Bones” dish is what made them a hit among many pork lovers. With this year’s Oktoberfest already hit the ground running, it comes to no surprise that Morganfield’s is jumping the bandwagon to offer their patrons a month-long special promotion from 1st till 31st of October, 2016. Cheekily known as “Porktoberfest”, you and your friends can enjoy a potpourri of pork-a-licious dishes for RM 209.90 nett. Ideal for 3 to 4 persons sharing, the platter includes everything from crispy pork knuckle to Longanisa sausages as well as side dishes such as red skin mashed potatoes, French fries and grilled corn on the cob.

But fret not if you prefer an a la carte or something that can be shared just the two of you. For instance, there is the “Mini Porktober-feast!”. Just enough for two persons, this share-worthy platter is similar to the “Porktoberfest” dish albeit with reduced portions but has the porky goodness all the same. Finally, no Oktoberfest meal would be complete without a pint of frosty beer. For just RM 50 nett for 4 glasses, you can choose the good old Carlsberg beer or the creamy yet robust Connor’s Stout Porter to go along with your “Porktober” dish. And if that’s not enough, you can bring home a Carlsberg 1L limited edition mug alongside a one-liter of Carlsberg beer itself for RM 60 nett.

From 7th October to 31st October 2016, patrons can look forward to Brotzeit’s Oktoberfest promotion. Clearly not to be missed is the shareable “Oktoberfest Platter” (ideal for 4 to 6 persons) which include their signature oven-roasted pork knuckle, beer-infused Bavarian honey ribs, whole roasted chicken as well as thuringer snail sausage served with wedges and sauerkraut. Then there is the beer. German beer, to be exact in the form of Spaten brand where patrons have the option to pick half-litre or one litre for RM 15 and RM 28 per glass respectively.

Specialises in Mediterranean and German food, Bavarian Bierhaus is particularly known for their signature pork dishes. To make things more exciting for the month of October, Bavarian Bierhaus currently offers a “Food & Beer Pairing” in conjunction with the Oktoberfest 2016. Available only at the Wisma UOA II outlet, you can choose to pair some of their German specialty beers such as Erdinger Draught or Warsteiner with a selection of meat-licious dishes. Among them are the sausage platter, grilled chicken wing and crispy pork belly.

Alternatively, you can fancy something out of the norm like Erdinger, Franziskaner, Konig Ludwig and Tennents Stout for a change. Best of all, The Beer Factory is currently promoting a month-long “International Beer Fest 2016” throughout this October.
