5 Things You Should Expect at a Blogger Party.

What could be more exciting than a BBQ party? A poolside BBQ party of course! There is no better way to spend the weekend soaking oneself in the pool (or maybe even swimming a few laps if one is up for it) before feasting on a BBQ spread fit for royalty. We were invited to attend the Blogger's BBQ Poolside Party hosted by Sidney Kan at Opal Damansara on Sunday (17th May) and it was a huge success, with lots of food to go around, activities for the young and old alike, goodie bags, and of course, the huge number of top Malaysian bloggers who were present! It was nice to see everyone enjoying themselves whether they be eating, swimming, or just hanging around people-watching (that would be me). If you've never been to a blogger gathering, well, fret not and read on as I will bring you on a journey through my lens, showing you 5 Things You Should Expect at a Blogger Party.

Swimming Pool

Well of course, it is a pool party after all. What would a blogger party be without a pool? In case you are wondering, the balloons floating atop the turquoise-colored pool are sponsored by NY Steak Shack, check them out if you are keen on having steak and western food at an affordable price. Pools are always good attractions for parties as both adults and children alike can't seem to resist them!

Barbecue Pit and FOOD!

BBQ parties are probably the easiest and most fun to be at. The BBQ pit was right next to the pool, making it easy for happy children and bloggers to feast on the delicious spread after a swim before hopping back into the pool. One of the sponsors was Bakarlah BBQ , a full-fledged BBQ Experience Provider which provided marinated meat and BBQ equipment far from disappointing.

GST Group is to be thanked for the delicious seafood consisting of mackerel fish, tiger prawns and shishamo.

Face & Body Art and Jewelry-Making Station

Face painting is a must at parties, especially parties with lots of children present. I am sure a number of adults too, who can't resist presenting their skin as a canvas to body artists. In this case, Fannie was the artist who did a perfect job of presenting her art on the skin of others. Besides face and body art, there was also a kid's jewelry-making station by Kelvin Gems for boys and girls alike to try their hand at making simple jewelry such as bracelets and necklaces.

Photographer (A World-Famous One Too)

A blogger party would not be complete without a photographer. Sekinchan-born Zung of The Photoz hascaptured famous faces such as Donald Trump and the Dalai Lama. He is known as the 'ninja photographer as he succeeds in capturing the perfect moment. Bloggers are so busy taking photos of their food and their surroundings (basically everything) so I guess it would be a treat to have their photo taken for once instead - by a world-famous photographer.

Bloggers 

The bloggers in the picture above are only a few of the many who attended the party. It is here where you get to meet those famous faces behind all the stories you see on your computer screen and although they may be world-wide-web celebrities, in actual fact they are just like us, people striving to go by their every day lives with some blogging full time and some doing it on a part time basis. They seem to really love the pretty balloons sponsored by Balloon Buzz Party Centre!
