New LG Watch Urbane & LTE is a sleek & elegant smartwatch in Malaysia

Most non-techies or the mainstream market in Malaysia would not know that LG has been around the android wears since the very beginning. They started with the original G watch (square shaped) and then the G watch R which looks pretty cool. But this year LG has raise their bar again and tapping in the classy market. For 2015, LG released two of their latest smartwatch with a stylish upgrade and something really different from other wearable device. This post we will be mentioning about the new LG watch Urbane (similar to their previous G watch in size and shape) and the LTE version of it.

As seen, the LG watch Urbane is a full circle P-O LED Display which is similar to the famous Moto 360. The great thing about this new watch is that it has a expanded battery life of 410mAh battery (700 mAh for the LTE). Charging is also really simple as you just need to place it on the charging cradle, the charger itself is magnetic so it does not drop off when you move the table or so. It runs on Android 5.0.2 (NO LTE) which is similar to the usual Android Wears however the LG Urbane LTE have their own personal wearable platform that does not restrict to Google Android rule. Hence, a customize integration that allow to do things a little different such as you can actually make phone calls on it, turn it to a Walkie Talkie and circular display with natural scroll which is really cool (some functions are only offers in the LTE which we would discuss more below).

Why would this smart watch standout among the others? It's stylish and elegant design that is made of polish metal stainless steel with much classier and premium design. It also comes with soft leather strap that works well with the rounded shape watch of the LG watch and two colour, the gold and silver (Only silver for LTE version). You can also change the leather strap to a nato strap to match your mood ( not for LTE version). It is also dust and water resistance which allows you to save time in cleaning the dust and repairing the damage that could caused by accidental water closure. The Urbane LTE is the world first LTE smart watch as mentioned by LG which is precisely why you can make calls with them and on because of it's stand along connectivity. The LTE model also has twice the ram than the normal Urbane and also three buttons instead of one (Comes with WIFI, NFC and speaker). It also means that the LTE version does not required a smartphones to work and you can make calls on its own! How cool is that? It is also the first Android wear device (LTE version) that has wifi with the new Google's new software update. With wifi, it means that you can enable a number of features without the phone in bluetooth range such as listening to your music without your phone. But would our service provider like Maxis and Digi launch this wearable with LTE? Still uncertain as this would also depends on the maturity of our local Malaysia market and whether there is any demand for it.
